The series of Harry Potter takes us to the make- believe world where
super humane with magical power fights against its dark opposition. It
is a series of back- to - back seven fantasy novels written by British
author JK Rowling. It is all about the adventures of teen age Harry
Potter, his best friend Ron Weasly and Hermione Granger. The main theme
of the story lies on the Harry's fight against Lord Voldemort. Lord
Voldemort, an evil wizard killed Harry's parents to conquer the magical
world and dominate non-magical people.
A
common woman's general idea today turned into the fastest selling novel
of all time. After releasing the first book (Harry Potter and the
Philosophers' stone) on 1997, the series has become one of the most
popular, critically acclaimed, and last but not the least commercially
successful. The teen-age wizard also has to cope with his own share of
criticism as many of the critics labeled it as dark toned. But overall,
it has sold more than 400 million copies all over the world over last
twelve years. The series has been translated into sixty-seven different
languages and its last four novels were the fastest selling novels in
history of publishing.
Main Story:
All of the stories
revolve around Harry, who at the age of 11 discovers that he has
magical power. Harry was invited to sharpen his wizard skill at the
"Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry" where he befriends Ron
Weasly and Hermione Granger.
Lord Voldemort who is a black wizard
murdered Harry's parents. He tried killing Harry but Harry survives and
through his deeds became living legend of Hogwarts. Every year in the
school is a described through a novel. The first in the series was
"Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone", the next came " Harry Potter
and the Chamber of the Secrets", after that " Harry Potter and the
Prisoner of Azkaban", next ' Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" (where
Voldemort makes return), " Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix",
the fifth novel was "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" and the
last was "Harry Potter and the deathly Hallows".
