Harry Potter is just a boy but has courage beyond his years. From the
first book, when he has to find the sorcerer’s stone, he undertakes an
adventure he never dreams about, facing the three-headed dog, the weeds,
the chess game. Admittedly, he didn’t fully understand the dangers he
took, but he pushed ahead.
By the second book, his understanding is a little clearer, thanks to
the mentors that step in. But I don’t think he truly sees the
intricacies of the dangers he’s in until he meets Sirius. He sees
everything isn’t as black and white as it seems, and by the time he
meets Dolores Umbridge, he understands the number of people he can trust
is very limited. But that doesn’t stop him from going to the Ministry
of Magic or following Dumbledore in the pursuit of the horcruxes or
fighting Bellatrix and the Malfoys.
Where does he get his courage?
Example! From his mother who gave up her life to save his, to Sirius,
to the Weasleys, to Dumbledore. Each of these show him what courage
means while giving him the support he needs to match their bravery. He
can only go the places he goes because of the love he receives from Ron,
Hermione and the others. When that’s taken away—Ron turning on him
after his name comes out of the Goblet of Fire, during the camping
trip—he struggles and wavers. He continues forward, because he has the
courage, and he knows what’s right, but only finds true success when he
has the strength of his friends behind him.
Fans have cried over the ending of the popular Harry Potter series,
and some of them have not completely gotten over the fact that their
boy-wizard no longer exists – not that he ever did.
Well, if you’re one of those still suffering from the lack-of-Potter
withdrawal symptoms, i.e reading the books over and over again, or
buying the DVD set of all eight (including pt.2 of Deathly Hallows)
movies, then why not attempt to “get over” the series by enjoying a
parody of the boy-wizard?
“Potted Potter” is a basically a summary of all seven books in a mere
70-minute play as compared to the 2-hour long movies. If you think
you’d be short-changed of the special effects that can only happen on
video-editing and not in real-life, then you are very wrong!
Admittedly, there are some errors here, but it's supposed to be Facebook after all.
With all of the controversy surrounding Harry Potter, including cries
to ban the book from schools, the novels have done something that
American parents and teachers, as a group, have failed to do. They have
made our children read.
A
recent study by Scholastic notes some intriguing statistics among the
kids of Harry Potter's world. Parents and kids both credit Potter with
getting kids to read for fun; just over half of the kids surveyed said
they neglected to do so before latching on to the series. Almost two
thirds - 65% - have noted improvements at school since they started
Rowling's works.
More important than grades, however, is the
entire shift in attitude towards reading. Previous surveys have found
that children's reading drops after the age of 8. The average Harry
Potter reader, however, start the series at 9 and continue to read - and
reread - the books as they get older.
Reread the books. This
single statement spoke volumes to me. Most people I know read a book
once and then never again. Most people, who will watch the same movie
over and over, refuse to read a book they have already enjoyed because
'they know how it ends'. They watch the same television shows with the
same expected, overused endings. Yet we have kids now reading and
rereading books. The idea boggles the mind.
Speaking of
mindboggling, you do realize that most adults read less than five books
after they graduate school, be it high school or college. Reading is
apparently too difficult for most people. But Rowlings has lured her
audience to read not one but six books, and eagerly anticipate the
seventh. Not only that, but according to the aforementioned survey, half
of Harry Potter readers will seek out a new series to devour. One in
three - that is 33% - intend to reread the series. Oddly, only 27%
intend to look for a new Rowlings book; perhaps the rest are afraid of
being sucked into another ten year series.
The most unpleasant character in Harry Potter is perhaps the most complex character, the one and only Severus Snape.
This oily, dark-haired, hook-nosed potions master at Hogwarts Witchcraft had. The first days of a natural aversion to Harry This is due to the fact that. Severus to Harry's father James Potter, I hate to use when they were both at school Coupling this with the fact that James Snape saved his life, and he married dream girl Snape, Lily Evans, it is not surprising that Snape harbored such as malaise towards him, and then the seed of Harry James.
Rogue is a complex character, I think. In a rare feature of a Death Eater, Snape, because of his love for Lily, Albus Dumbledore asked to intervene, and promised in return to keep them safe, something he''''.
A cruel and bitter man, Severus Snape, I find my reading of the texts, was also very brave. In the second trial for Lord Voldemort to power, he began his life as a double agent, promoting resistance. It was not a fictional character in the last decade has the greatest impact, as Harry Potter. Often credited solely to bring children, books, JK Rowling boy-wizard is undoubtedly the most popular fictional character in the last decade and has Rowling, the best-known author of the last decade. Harry Potter quiz will show that his first appearance in the book was "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone."
A Harry Potter quiz will show that this assistant was the main character in the series of seven novels Rowling. These books were: "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," "Chamber of Secrets", "Prisoner of Azkaban", "Goblet of Fire", "The Order of the Phoenix," "The Half-Blood Prince" and "The Deathly Hallows ". Each book was a bestseller, and later in the series were among the first book launches of all time.
Harry Potter Quiz shows that the books were also the transition in a number of movies. An interesting piece of trivia is that one of the conditions of JK Rowling on the sale of film rights, was that British actor received British parts. It was a new trend in Hollywood to launch American actor roles in British literature, and Rowling did not want that to happen to his characters. Daniel Radcliffe became famous for his portrayal of Harry Potter. Rupert Grint and Emma Watson have become well-known names to play Harry's friends Ron and Hermione.
A Harry Potter quiz show that the franchise has spawned a legendary myth in full force for the series. Things like uniforms wizard seen wearing in the film become Halloween costumes to the top. Quidditch, the wizarding world fantasy game in video games became popular. Series and character have largely to cultural institutions, as they appeared.

The character of Harry Potter has become a hero for our times since
first introduced by writer J.R. Rowling in 1997. At the beginning of her
beloved seven-book series, Harry was a scared and frightened boy just
learning to cope with his wizarding ways. By the end of the epic tale,
Harry had become an admirable, wise-for-his-years young man. His
popularity is so far-reaching that the novels have been translated into
67 languages. In June 2010, Entertainment Weekly magazine named Harry Potter 2nd on the list of "Top 100 Greatest Characters of the Last 20 Years."
